Afflatus for me to write something is absent. Thought is on mechanically, yet nothing is good enough to jot.
Ridiculous how things here are from my point of view. It may be true applied the other way around, too. Same same! That again indicates that no matter what you do, involvement is the key. A non participating observation can trigger off comparisons. It spoils an aspect of the joy of living, makes you skeptical and doubtful.
A friend of mine has this need to socialize. The other day we went out. I was not up to it. but he said that the only reason why he stayed back was to meet me in town because we needed to see each other. Sitting down at a cafe discussing the same old things again and again can be quite fruitful in one's life if it is full of repeated variation on the same routine. Loads of money can help you get a 24 hour ego massage. OK, you can afford longer holidays across continents. There is thrill to it, of course, but it passes because mind needs not just uninvolved observing. It needs to get involved and ask questions which have a bearing on values you cherish. And if there are values, man can get a hold on things. Without this it is, to give an image, like a casement swinging perpetually open -close-open again and close perennially as it were, until the hinges wear out. What's the point then? I mean what is the bloody point of getting ego massage 24/7 by paying ridiculous sums of money for a fucking green salad?
Speaking of which, I am reminded of a funny incident in St. James Court. St. James Court is a 'resort' along the east coast road. It opened with a bang. Subsequently its popularity ( I am being kind) dwindled because of various reasons. However, Paula and I had gone there for an evening meal. There were a few salads on their card and Paula zeroed in on two, one green and other with a name that made my skin crawl. Paula asked the waiter what it was made with. The waiter replied that it was made with a number of veggies like carrot and cucumber and green leafy veggies. Then Paula asked him what the green salad contained and the waiter said almost exactly the same to which Paula's sensible question was, "What is the difference between the two", the skin-crawl -salad and the green one? The waiter said something astounding.
"Nothing madam, only cutting difference!", he said,
Once with exactly 80 rs in my pocket I ordered for one hellofa crab dish for two. Paula and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The thing is, you don't need 8000 rs in your wallet to enjoy a crab. 80 Rs will do fine provided you still find your wife charming even after more than a decade of togetherness.

Dreaming
Just when I was about to call it a day thoughts surged up about dreaming and how, often times, they need to be let go off unrealized. There are constraints. But isn't dreaming about jumping them, overcoming the limitations in order to realize wishes, dreams?
Well there is a sort of clogging of my mind right now and it blocks my thinking. Today was stressful, a bit more than yesterday or the day before, and I need to shower, eat and go to bed. Before going to bed I shall auto suggest a ban on dreaming. I can not afford to dream. Dreams, whatever may be the sort they are made of, they are unaffordable right now. I must sleep soundly.
I hope to wake up in the morning.
Look at this simple statement, it is a dream. I dream of waking up. Well what if I don't? What?

Ah, Goa!
Whatever else may be true of Goa, but Goans have their mind fixed on making more!
There is not much else to say.
